Now, go check out the available images. The images in this series of pages are adapted from Longfellow's Goldendale Color Book, copyright ©1991 by John and Patricia Longfellow.
Follow this link to the Goldendale Color Book Thumbnail Gallery .If you want to color the images by hand:
1. PRINT THE PAGE ONLINE: Go to the page showing the full size image and print the page on your printer. Be sure to set the orientation to landscape or portrait in the page setup options. Most of the drawings are in landscape or wide horizontal orientation.
2. You can download a higher quality image by clicking on the " DOWNLOAD PDF FILE " text below each image on the Thumbnail Gallery page. You will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and print the files. If the image doesn't just open in Adobe Acrobat Reader a dialog window will appear. Choose the "SAVE FILE" option. Another dialog window will appear where you can choose the location to save the file and where you can set the type of file: "TEXT" OR "SOURCE". Choose "SOURCE", then save the file.
If you want to color the images using a graphics editor on your computer:
1. DOWNLOAD THE IMAGE : Go to the page showing the full size image and, on Windows systems, click the right mouse button once on the image, choose "SAVE IMAGE AS" from the pop-up menu that will appear. Another dialog box will appear where you can then choose the location for the saved file. Be sure to set the file type to "SOURCE" before saving. Macintosh system: click and hold the mouse button down on the image until the pop-up menu apears. It would be a good idea to create a directory or folder for the saved files before you start downloading. If your browser supports drag-and-drop copying, press the mouse button down and hold it down, then drag the pointer off the page and onto the icon representing the directory where you want to save the files. Then release the mouse button. Drag and drop will automatically save the image object as "SOURCE".
